DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE Makes its way to Steam

  • 7 October 2022

Are you ready, Senpai? DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE is a free-to-play, 16-player melee-based battle royale by Gungho Online Entertainment and SUPERTRICK GAMES.

Set hundreds of years after LET IT DIE, D: LID has its players face off against each other in a survival reality show called the Death Jamboree. Hosted by 2 charismatic figures named Bryan Zemeckis and Queen B. They introduce the players before each match and lend their voices while spectating the bloodbath of the Death Jamboree.

Like many battle royale games, you will be forced to move to safe areas due to zones becoming contaminated, forcing you to be mindful of what area you are in and where to move to next. In each little stage, there are NPCs to kill called Cryptids, skills to pick up, and mushrooms to eat, which will give you various benefits, depending on the mushroom you eat.

While you are munching on floor mushrooms, fighting other players, and trying to survive, an NPC called a Hunter will be deployed to find and kill you and other players. 3 of them are introduced this season: Hunter Q, Hunter M, and Hunter G, each with different abilities

DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE

If you were worried about being alone on the battlefield, think again! Wilson, your robot companion, will be there to help you to victory! Wilson helps manage your skills, and shield level, along with scanning the arena for items and players. Wilson can also be used to shoot out an electric ball to potentially stun your foes. Take good care of him out there, or there is a chance he could be temporarily disabled, leaving you extremely vulnerable!

As integral as Wilson is to your arsenal, you will need a weapon to take out your enemies. There are 5 types of weapons you can choose from, each with different variants you can craft. Machete, Katana, Buzzsaw Arms, and Hammer are your tools of destruction. Each one with different move sets and skills. The variants also give your weapon a new look but also each comes with different skills to master. Each of the weapons and upgrades can be crafted in the main menu by earning materials, either by finding them in-game or by completing challenges.

DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE

Customizing your weapon is cool and all, but giving your player individual flair for that sweet victory pose is where it’s at. A neat addition to adjusting your clothing is that there is an option to hide your headgear at all times if you want to show off your character’s face. There are also skins for your Wilson device, a main menu room and emotes to gain by playing the game.

Update from Developers

Heavy server issues have been plaguing the game’s launch on steam, unfortunately. The developers have been doing their best to address the issues to get the game online and have stated
on their official Twitter that there will be compensation sent out to players. Play before October 9th, 2022, and you can get a handful of premium currency for free, as stated here.

Thank you very much to everyone for playing Deathverse.
We deeply apologize for the recent unstable server conditions.
